Life at the Institute

At the Language Institute (Instituto de  Idiomas) we teach English to people, or at least that is what they think.  We use the English to draw people of all walks of life to be exposed to Christianity.    This is a double mission.  First we are giving the people something that they can use to better their lives.   Secondly we are bringing people in from all over the Lima area, and they are being exposed to Adventism.   We are able to reach people that the church could never reach otherwise.   

We  teach classes for the University, but we also teach people from 5 years old to 80 years old.   It is often very challenging to meet the needs of all different people.

I never realized how important the English language was until I got down here.  These people adore English.   English is everywhere.     People need to know English to get good jobs.
